Claimer Pick: (claimer picks are not betting picks, they are my choice to claim)

5/19/2022:  Race 4 is a $7,500 Claimer for Accredited Texas Breds, Purse $13,500. A 8-horse field of 7 geldings and 1 Colt from ages 4 – 7.  I pick Vickslincolnlawyer a 4 year old that has won nearly as much in 2022 as in 2020 and 2021 combined. Also has run highest speed figure in 2022. Close 2ND choice claimer is 3 year old Tapin The Bling, Top 3 finish in 3 of last 5 starts and only 7 total starts and currently owned by breeder Fred Walden.

Race 6 is a $7,500 Claimer for Accredited Texas Breds, Purse $13,500. A 7-horse field of all geldings from age 3 – 5.  A tough claim pick to me between Tenacious Lion and Mani Surprise. Tenacious Lion is 6 years old but only has 12 starts with top 3 finishes in 6 of the 12. His highest speed figure is in 2021 but his last 2 starts have finishes of 3rd and 2ndMani Surprise is a 4-year-old with 8 starts with 6 of those starts in 2022. Out of those 6 top 2 finishes 3 times.

5/20/2022: Race 2 is a $15,000 claimer, $20,000 for Texas Bred, for Fillies and Mares Three Years Old and Upward Which Have Never Won Three Races, Purse $16,000 plus up to $3,200 ATB. This race features 3 Texas Bred. Still of the Night, Doc’s Denita, and Texas Thunder.  My Texas Bred claim pick to move form “Your Barn to Ours” is Texas Thunder.  Sold for $112,000 in 2021 TTA Two-year-old Training Sale. She is Stakes placed with 6 starts and top 3 finish 4 times. However, Stalemate and Lacey Boss would be good claims as well.  Stalemate is a war horse in the making. 32 starts with 14 top 3 finishes.  5 starts in 2022 with 3 top 3 finishes.  She pays her bills. Sired by MGSW Even the Score and out of a Smart Strike broodmare Cabanero. With Smart Strike as her broodmare sire, Stalemate could be a breeder’s choice.  Lacey Boss another stakes place runner in this $15,000 claimer with 7 starts, $58,087 earnings and 4 top 3 finishes. Lacey Boss pays her bills.  She has run her best speed figure in 2022 but doesn’t have the earnings to show for her effort with 4th and 5th place finishes in Allowance company.  Lacey Boss’ 1st Dam Lacey Officer is a producer of multiple winning performers.

Race 3 is $17,500 claimer with a Purse at $17,000 plus up to $3,400 for ATB. 6-1/2 Furlongs for a 6-Horse field with 2 Texas Breds.
